The bedroom should be a calm and relaxing environment, where sleep is possible and relaxing can take place. We do not want to be disturbed by having the wrong lighting effects in the bedroom, killing the ambiance and turning it into a non relaxing area!
Bedroom lights should be soft focus, not too bright and should offer a certain tone for the room. Choose lower wattage bulbs, and lamps rather than harsh spotlights and ceiling lamps. We recommend choosing lacey lampshades which can difuse the light and make the room seem much cosier. It is a good idea to use flameless candles to offer a subtle glow as well.
For reading in bed, you can choose lamps which either attach to the bed, and direct the light down towards your book, or you can have bedside lamps. This allows your partner to be able to sleep while you continue to read.
