Modern Bulbs Bring Warmer Looking Light

Modern Bulbs Bring Warmer Looking Light

Ah the end of the long winter nights . . . .  Spring has almost sprung, we have had some very fine bright days with lovely long breeze free evenings.  With all these changing weather conditions, the need for lighting comes into play.  My sitting room room is fairly dark as it has only one bay window, and the house points in the wrong direction to attract much direct sunlight.  This is a definite benefit in a very hot sunny summer as we experienced last year.  That room was an unlit, almost cool haven.  In the winter, I have a very stylishly ornate table lamp operated on a timer switch – set for 3.30 in the afternoon, it brings a welcome ray of pretend sunlight.  The two modern 3 point chandeliers are far too harsh for everyday use, except when you need to actually see anything.  My utilities supplier insisted on changing every single bulb in my house the other year – to ultra modern economy ones.  Some are pretty bright, but very cheap to run, so that’s ok!
